Company History
The original technology behind the company's evolution was developed by our two founders, Jarl Karlsen and William Gullvik.
The initial concept formed the basis of William Gullvik’s PhD. The idea was to develop software that could analyze what was happening in digital signal process systems in real time, and without causing the systems to stall or crash.
2010
In May the company enters into a mutually exclusive partnership agreement with Texas Instruments Inc. Reaching the agreement was an important milestone for the company as it demonstrated that the product portfolio had reached such a level of completeness and quality that Texas Instruments, being the dominant player in the embedded industry, decided to work exclusively with Crosshairs.
In April the company launches the second generation of the Functional Debugger. At the same time a completely new product - the Interface Designer is launched to the market. The product is a highly user friendly and graphical tool that enables the user to directly control an embedded system using a modern GUI.
2008
Pro Venture Seed AS enters as shareholders. Pro Venture enables the company to start an aggressive development program where the goal is to develop the next generation products based on the initial idea of real-time and non-intrusive operation.
2005
Enters into an initial partnership with Texas Instruments Inc.
2002
The first product is launched under the name DSPComm. It is an advanced debugger enabling real-time and non-intrusive debugging of an embedded system.
1997
The
company is established. The initial business model was to offer
customers consultancy to assist them with their embedded systems.
